The cottage adjoins
the main farmhouse, which overlooks the lake.
The accommodation consists of:
A spacious lounge and dining area which is comfortably furnished
with colour TV, etc., retaining original features including a high-beamed
ceiling and stone walls.
There is a fitted kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, fridge, washing
machine, all crockery and cooking utensils.
Two twin-bedded rooms, both with en-suite shower
rooms.
A side lobby gives external access to the kitchen and provides a
storage area for fishing tackle and outside clothing. The main entrance
is accessible from a paved patio area.
Ample car parking is adjacent to the cottage.
The cottage is centrally-heated and is supplied with all linen with
the exception of towels. Gas and electricity are included in the rental
charge.
Being in a rural area, a car is essential. Local shops are
at Whitland and Narberth; larger shops and supermarkets can be found
in Carmarthen and Haverfordwest (approximately 15 miles).
Trout Fishing is free to guests during their stay.
All fish taken will be charged for at a discounted rate.
"Catch and release" will be permitted with the owner's
agreement.
For non-fishing guests, there is much to do.
The local signposted footpaths in the area, including one through
the property, are part of the Landsker Borderland
Walk.
For the more adventurous, the spectacular Pembrokeshire
Coastal Path or the Preseli Hills
are within easy reach.
The Pembrokeshire beaches of Amroth (5 miles), Pendine
(8 miles), Saundersfoot (12 miles) and Tenby (15
miles), are renowned, as is the sea fishing.Charter boats operate
from Saundersfoot and Milford Haven.
The area is well-served by numerous restaurants and inns.
Other local attractions include Folly Farm,
Herons Brook and the renowned
Oakwood Leisure Park.
So, whether your requirements are sporting, relaxing
or just escaping, there is something in South Pembrokeshire for everyone.
The cottage is available from March 1st to October 31st
and prices are avaiable on application. At other times accomodation
can be obtained via West Wales Holiday Cottages
Bookings are normally on
weekly terms (Saturday - Saturday), but short breaks may also be available.
